At Cheat’s Cheesesteaks, the Area Managers play a crucial role in the success of our Charlotte locations. There are two Area Managers, Splitting time between our two locations: Plaza Midwood and South End. While each manager has defined responsibilities, both are expected to support each other and work collaboratively with the Director of Operations to ensure smooth operations, high-quality food, and an excellent guest experience at all locations.

The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of both Charlotte locations, ensuring excellence in service, kitchen execution, financial performance, and team development. This role balances front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) leadership, focusing on guest experience, operational efficiency, and staff training.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee all FOH and BOH operations, ensuring seamless service, food quality, and kitchen efficiency.
- Hire, train, and develop all staff, including FOH and BOH team members, cashiers, shift leads, and kitchen leads.
- Monitor sales trends, control costs, manage inventory, and track labor to maximize profitability.
- Create and oversee scheduling, payroll accuracy, and labor tracking for both locations.
- Ensure an outstanding customer experience by addressing concerns, implementing service recovery, and driving engagement initiatives.
- Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Manage supply levels for uniforms, small wares, and kitchen ingredients to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with menu rollouts, recipe execution, and operational enhancements.
- Oversee kitchen equipment upkeep and coordinate necessary repairs.
Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with the Director of Operations on staffing, training, and operational improvements.
- Cross-train and support FOH and BOH teams to maintain a team-oriented environment.
- Assist with local marketing efforts and guest engagement initiatives.
- Align FOH service execution with BOH kitchen operations for a seamless guest experience.
Job Requirements
- 2 years Managerial Experience
- 1 years Kitchen Cooking Experience
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Ability to work 45-50 hours per week
