Your Role :
As a software development engineer at MilliporeSigma, you will develop instruments, applications, and cloud services that help scientists solve the toughest problems in life science. Our products are used in universities and research labs around the world to perform important biological research. We are looking for a highly motivated full-stack developer who is interested in working across a variety of platforms and technologies depending on project needs - everything from designing databases, to implementing REST APIs, to developing user interfaces for web and native apps. You don't need to be an expert in all these areas but should be comfortable wearing different hats and willing to learn new technologies as needed.
In a typical week you will work as part of a cross-functional project team of scientists, product and project managers, and other engineers to design and implement new features for existing and upcoming projects. You will meet with internal and external scientists to understand their workflows and develop solutions that meet their needs. You will collaborate with other developers to write software in C (Qt Framework) and a few other languages like Rust. You will also help produce both internal and user-facing documentation for products and applications, including documentation that meets regulatory requirements when applicable.
This is a hybrid role that may be located in either Bellevue, WA or Burlington, MA.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software / Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline with 5 years' software development experience
Preferred Qualifications :
Pay range for this position : $102,400.00 - $178,000.00
