We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Estimator to join our client's team. This individual is responsible for preparing accurate estimates for HVAC and mechanical scopes on large commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing scopes, preparing bids and proposals, and fostering strong client relationships. Data Center experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop detailed cost estimates for mechanical, HVAC, and piping systems.
- Review project scopes, drawings, and specifications to identify materials, labor, and cost factors.
- Analyze bids, negotiate pricing, and manage vendor and subcontractor relationships.
- Prepare proposals and support preconstruction efforts.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers and engineers, to ensure accurate budgeting.
- Maintain strong client relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (additional industry experience will be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Experience: 2-5 years of estimating experience in HVAC, piping, and mechanical construction.
- Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office and estimating software (e.g., Trimble, QuoteSoft, or similar).
- Strong understanding of mechanical and HVAC construction processes.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
