19six Architects has expanded our services to include in-house structural engineering, in a desire to better serve our clients by fully integrating structural design with architectural design. Our structural division in Santa Barbara is growing to provide support to all of our architectural offices, and we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Structural Project Support/Drafter to provide support to our Project Engineers across all of our market sectors. PRIMARY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Modeling and Drafting support.
- Prepare structural calculations, details and drawings.
- Produce detailed and accurate construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Verification of existing field conditions.
- Collaborate with architectural/design team, engineers, other disciplines and clients as part of our integrated design process.
- Work under the supervision of our Project Engineers.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree or greater is preferred.
- Three plus (3 ) years ARCE industry experience with design and drafting of concrete, masonry, steel and wood materials (gravity and lateral systems).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Proficiency with structural software programs (such as RISA and Enercalc).
- Experience working with DSA and OSHPD/HCAI preferred.
- Experience and interest in sustainable building design preferred.
- Goal oriented with strong skills in problem solving, creativity and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player, detail oriented and eager to learn.
