JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Loan Support Specialist Department: LPO
STATUS: Non-Exempt GRADE: 6-8
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Position Reports To: Loan Operations Manager Positions Supervised: N/A
POSITION PURPOSE
Provides portfolio management and lending support through performance of specific duties in the loan department with the goal of improving overall management and growth in the Bank loan portfolio. Adheres to Core Values and promotes Value Driven Culture at all times. Performs duties in compliance with regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
Requirements:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Answer phones, greet walk-in customers, emails.
- Perform post-closing follow up including but not limited to, uploading appraisal and environmental reports/reviews, insurance, Credit Authorization with policy exceptions, order tax service, log all GL funds, received, process invoices, and upload documents to electronic system.
- Maintain borrowing base lines of credit to include weekly advance and pay-downs along with monitoring seasonal draw down lines of credit (Nogales).
- Monitor and complete review of daily reports.
- Monitor and process paid loan reports, and log in accordance to established controls, prior to releasing liens or collateral instruments.
- Prepare collateral releases, mail paid notes, box up paid loan files.
- Monitor and maintain the loan collateral tickler system for pending collateral perfection items.
- Assist Servicers with UCC continuations, document/fund/board CD/PRA/HELOC loans.
- Process postal/interoffice mail.
- Provide support to loan processors, servicers, credit analysts and loan officers, as needed.

- Comply with the Bank Secrecy Act policies and procedures, including attendance at annual training, as directed by the Bank Secrecy Act Officer.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: GED or high school diploma required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: One - three years’ related experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of consumer and commercial lending preferred.
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Excellent problem resolution, audit, customer service (direct customer contact) and communication skills are necessary. Strong organizational and mathematical skills are required. Must be accurate, detail oriented and have ability to multi-task.

To advance in this position, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, as determined by manager/supervisor. Time in position and ability to perform job duties with minimal to no supervision is necessary.
