About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our remote team. As a Patient Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients over the phone, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate patient records in the practice electronic health record. Your primary goal will be to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care and attention during when contacting their practice. You will play a critical role in ensuring that patients have a positive experience and feel confident in the care they receive.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in a medical office setting
- Proficient in medical office practices and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) software - preferably Athena
Responsibilities:
- Greet callers in a professional and courteous manner over the phone
- Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
- Assist with patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
Skills:
