We are seeking experienced Guardianship Monitors to join our team and provide essential services for our client, a leading government agency within the Maryland Judiciary . This agency works closely with the Department of Juvenile and Family Services to ensure that guardianships are managed in accordance with state law, supporting vulnerable populations such as children, older adults, and individuals with disabilities. Guardianship Monitors will play a key role in investigating guardianship cases, assessing the needs of protected individuals, and preparing clear, concise reports to the court. This role is critical in ensuring that guardianship processes are carried out in the best interest of those under protection and in full compliance with legal standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Investigate and assess the well-being of protected persons through interviews, home visits, and the review of reports and records.
- Engage with protected individuals, their guardians, and other stakeholders to gather pertinent information on the welfare of the protected person.
- Conduct home visits as part of the assessment process, ensuring thorough documentation of findings.
- Prepare detailed reports and provide recommendations to the court regarding the suitability of guardianship and possible alternatives.
- Provide testimony in court, as needed, presenting findings from your investigations and assessments.
- Demonstrate professionalism, impartiality, and a thorough understanding of guardianship laws and protocols.
