We are seeking a detail oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team! The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including corporate finance, AP, AR, and payroll processes. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance and regulatory requirements. The accounting specialist will work closely with the accounting team to ensure payments are processed on time, records are accurate, and all communications with clients and vendors are handled efficiently.
Job Duties:
· Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP
· Perform journal entries and manage general ledger accounting activities
· Assist in payroll processing and ensure timely payment to employees
· Support the preparation of financial statements for the company leadership
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and reporting accuracy
Qualifications:
· 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable
· MUST have proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Suite programs (Excel and Word)
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Clear and professional communication skills-both written and verbal
· Basic knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy office environment
· Must be willing to maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with supervisors, colleagues, and other departments
