CIVIL ENGINEER

A local and very well established Architecture firm is seeking a qualified and motivated Civil Engineer to join their team in Springdale, AR. This role is an exciting opportunity for a civil engineer with a background in land development and a strong understanding of civil design standards, who is ready to make an impact in a dynamic environment. The Civil Engineer will play a key role in our clients design team, responsible for planning and executing land development projects. The ideal candidate will have a Professional Engineering (PE) License, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in both team-oriented and independent work settings. This role is perfect for someone who is well-organized, detail-oriented, and familiar with compliance standards across local, state, and federal regulations. Responsibilities of the Civil Engineer : Serve as a Project Engineer for various land development projects, including designing sites, parking areas, sidewalks, grading, and utility layouts. Plan and implement erosion control measures, ensuring compliance with stormwater regulations for detention and retention. Manage client and government agency interactions throughout the design process to ensure project standards and expectations are met. Take on project management responsibilities as applicable, based on experience level and project requirements. Key Qualifications for the Civil Engineer : Professional Engineering License (PE) is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development projects, including drainage systems, utilities, and commercial site engineering. Proficiency in Civil 3D and / or AutoCAD. Experience managing projects from initial concept through to building completion, including drawing and specification development. Familiarity with stormwater management practices, including detention and retention systems, with knowledge of Low Impact Development (LID) practices being a plus.
