Loan Associate (On-site)

Location: Southbury, CT - On-site Position

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and adaptable Loan Associate to join our team. This role will focus on a variety of post-funding loan processes, including managing payments, payoffs, interest updates, off-lease transactions, and other critical tasks. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with numbers and finance-related tasks, though specific accounting experience is not required. Flexibility and a positive, proactive attitude are key as the role may involve shifting responsibilities based on business needs.

 Key Responsibilities:

·   Post-Funding Loan Management:

o   Process and manage loan payments, including applying payments and reconciling discrepancies.

o   Initiating and releasing UCC filings as needed.

o   Handle payoff requests and ensure timely and accurate processing.

o   Update interest calculations and ensure they reflect current loan terms.

o   Manage payoff transactions, ensuring all paperwork is completed and accurate.

·   Finance Support:

o   Assist with reconciling accounts related to loans and leases.

o   Support the lease & loan payoff, ensuring smooth transitions and accuracy.

o   Provide assistance to the finance team as needed, helping to ensure financial data is correctly processed.

· System Management (Jack Henry):

o   Utilize Jack Henry systems for all loan-related and finance tasks.

o   Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the system, following established processes.

·  Adaptability & Team Support:

o   Be flexible in handling evolving tasks and projects as business needs shift.

o   Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

o   Contribute positively to a team environment and be open to taking on new responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

·  Comfort working with numbers and finance-related tasks.

·   Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately process financial transactions.

·   Comfortable with technology and eager to learn new systems (experience with Jack Henry is a plus, but not required).

·    Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

·   Ability to adapt quickly to changes in workload or tasks based on business priorities.

·   Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the drive to succeed in a dynamic environment.

 Preferred Skills (but not required):

·  Familiarity with loan and lease terminology.

·  Basic understanding of accounting or finance practices.

·  Experience in customer service or administrative support roles.
