Title: SBA Loan Officer
Location: Sioux Falls, SD (This is an on-site position)
Job Overview:
Builder Finance Inc. (BFI) is the growing lender to home building companies and real estate investment companies across the country. Launched in 2014, BFI has several coast-to-coast lending programs and is a lender service provider for Small Business Association (SBA) Loans consistent with the 7(a) lending program.
This position will work on SBA lending activities. A successful SBA Loan Officer:
- Is highly knowledgeable with at least one SBA loan guaranty program.
- Excels at underwriting, especially borrower cash flows.
- Has great attention to detail for prompt, accurate reporting as well as close adherence to procedural requirements.
- Provides stellar client experiences, with a disposition to quickly address stated and unstated needs of clients.
While not required, preference will be given to candidates with sales talent including ability to “convert” prospects that they may speak with on the phone, via email, and in person.
The work environment is supportive but this position will require significant independent work. There will be minimal to no travel. While remote work will be considered, there is a strong preference for candidates that would be in the office daily.
Compensation is attractive and likely to include: a significant base salary, a semi-annual formulaic bonus based on company performance (available after the first full year of employment), and bonus consideration based on individual performance.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience with SBA lending, preferably with a real estate, 7(a), and/or express loan program. However, other cash flow based lending experience can be considered.
