THE SCOPE
This Water Damage Restoration Specialist - Cleanup Technician earns competitive hourly pay ranging from $22 to $28, depending on experience .
You also receive excellent perks such as opportunities for advancement, benefits, and bonuses .
This position works a consistent schedule between Monday and Friday, 8 : 00 am to 6 : 00 pm .
YOUR DAY
As a Water Damage Restoration Specialist - Cleanup Technician, you start your day by reviewing the emergency services work schedule with a keen focus. Adhering to company protocols and strict adherence to EPA, OSHA, and local safety regulations when dealing with hazardous materials is imperative. You must be prepared for after-hours or weekend emergencies, equipped with protective gear and proficiently using tools for routine equipment maintenance. Climbing ladders and scaffolding is essential for meticulous inspection, cleaning, and equipment upkeep. Inventory management, warehouse organization, and facility maintenance while strictly adhering to safety protocols in a dynamic work environment are part of this position. Embracing the unpredictable nature of flood and water damage restoration involves exposure to hazardous substances and adverse weather conditions. Your commitment to safety and meticulous cleanup practices plays a vital role in restoring properties to their pre-damaged state.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of construction and restoration experience, specifically working on water-fire damage jobs, environmental experience, and hazardous waste
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Basic math skills using adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to wear full and half face respirator
- Capability of working in confined spaces
- Ability to regularly lift and carry 50 pounds
- 5 years of Construction and restoration experience (preferred)
- Specific experience working on water-fire damage jobs, including environmental and hazardous waste (preferred)
