POSITION SUMMARY
Individual is responsible for performing various functions in connection with filing the HMDA LAR. This includes responsibility for collecting and validating HMDA reporting information, entering collected data into appropriate reporting software. Responsible for ensuring the origination process meets or exceeds the standards and requirements established by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and correspondent investors as well as the guidelines established at 1st Security Bank of Washington. While providing ‘WOW” customer service both internally and externally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Maintain a good working knowledge of the requirements of the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA). Stay up-to-date with the bank's lending practices and procedures in order to perform a thorough and accurate HMDA LAR.

Generate Adverse Action Notice and Notice of Incomplete in a timely manner and review for compliance and accuracy.

Responsible for generating monthly report for data scrub and audit of HMDA data.

Responsible for recommending actions related to deficiencies with loan processes.

Coordinate with various departments within the bank to resolve inconsistencies in loan data and recommends changes as warranted that will ensure the efficiency and accuracy in reporting of HMDA data.

Assist in the update of HMDA policies and procedures.

Complete required monthly assigned BVS Compliance training courses.

Follow and support the Bank’s Core Values.

Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
-
Bachelor's degree or 3 years of related experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prior work experience with HMDA, ECOA and TRID a plus.

Prior experience and knowledge of Encompass a plus.

Ability to handle multiple priorities in an always-changing environment.

Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision.

Ability to communicate across all departments within the organization.

Strong analytic skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within time constraints.

Excellent level of oral and written communication skills.

Intermediate level of computer skills and the ability to function in a windows environment utilizing Outlook, Word and Excel.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Products and other Database software.

The employee will primarily operate in a general office environment, using office equipment such as a phone and a computer. The employee will also work in various client locations, which could have varying environments. Extensive travel is required, including overnight travel.
