We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our family practice in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. This full-time role involves a variety of front and back office responsibilities in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Front Office Duties:
- Patient Reception & Communication: Greet patients, check them in, and handle phone calls and emails.
- Appointment Management: Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
- Insurance & Billing: Verify insurance, process pre-authorizations, and assist with billing.
Back Office Duties:
- Clinical Support: Assist with patient exams, take vital signs, and prepare patients for procedures.
- Lab Work: Perform basic lab tests, collect specimens, and manage lab results.
- Medical Documentation: Update patient records, manage EMR entries, and assist with charting.
- Phlebotomy & Vaccines: Proficient in blood draws and administering vaccines.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role preferred.
- Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant.
- Skills: Proficient in phlebotomy and injections, strong communication, and organizational skills.
- EMR Proficiency: Experience with ECW is preferred.
