What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Front Desk Manager position at 1WDI LLC?
We are looking for a friendly and professional front desk manager to work at our branded hotel in Ft Lauderdale / Pompano Beach.
The ideal front desk manager is approachable, friendly, warm, open-minded, and empathetic towards guests as well as the hotel staff. We are looking for a strong team player who is also a self-starter and who is able to work individually when needed.
The front desk manager will use customer service and communication skills to provide the guest with an exceptional and accommodating hotel experience, and continuously train their team to do the same. They will also act as a liaison, provide product/services information and resolve any emerging problems that our guests might face with accuracy and efficiency to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee front desk operations
- Assist General Manager with scheduling and staffing
- Become an expert in internal booking system (SynXis)
- Coach and train front desk agents to follow hotel policies, protocols, and provide excellent guest experience
- Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating guest needs and exceeding their expectations
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests in a warm and friendly manner
- Process guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning room, and issuing and activating room keys
- Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit
- Process all check-outs and encourage guest reviews
- Answer and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns
- Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in
- Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest
- Reply to online guest feedback
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other staff
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
The ideal candidate has:
- Customer service managerial experience
- Customer service oriented mindset with the ability to resolve conflicts
- Strong teamwork mentality
- High attention to detail
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, which may include weekends, nights, and holidays
And must be able to:
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 15 lbs. without assistance
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
