What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN - Subject Matter Expert for Educational Video Filming position at 20/20 Visual Media?
20/20 Visual Media is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to serve as an on-set Subject Matter Expert for a series of educational filming in April-May 2025. This is a temporary, per-diem position ideal for either a per-diem or recently retired RN.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the production team to:
- Demonstrate and explain nursing procedures to actors who will be portraying RN and LPN roles
- Provide guidance on proper hand placement, bedside movement, safety protocols, equipment use, and more
- Ensure adherence to safety and patient care protocols during filming
- Work with producers/director in advance of the filming to ensure understanding of the video scripts and goals and objectives for the final deliverables
- Must be a collaborative, team player
Qualifications
- Current RN License
- Proficient in patient care and assessment
- Skilled in catheterization, IV insertion, and tube feeding, among other typical technical nursing experience
- Knowledge of healthcare setting safety processes and protocols
- Candidate must be experienced in maternity and/or pediatric settings and must comfortable providing subject matter expertise in those areas
Compensation
- Role will require up to 15 days on-location (depending on how many subjects the candidate can provide expertise in) and will pay $500 for each day on-location (productions typically run 10 hours)
- 20/20 Visual Media will seek to engage the candidate(s) in pre-production tasks (i.e. production meetings, script review, prop selection and review, etc.) and will compensate for additional time spent (likely up to 20 hours).
