System Administrator I

About the Role: Job Summary The System Administrator I is responsible for the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. This roles involves providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring the overall stability and security of the organization's IT infrastructure environment. Minimum Job Qualifications Licensure or other certifications: At least one active certification in one of the following areas: Cloud Technologies (AWS or Azure), Windows Server technology, VMware VCP, or Epic. Educational Requirements: High School Diploma Minimum Experience: Two (2) years of experience providing advanced technical support for server environments required in a complex 24x7 environment Other: Preferred Job Qualifications Preferred Licensure or other certifications: Preferred Educational Requirements: Preferred Experience: Other: Job Specific and Unique Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Functional knowledge of server hardware, virtualization, and cloud computing. Strong understanding of operating systems, networking, and system administration concepts. Experience with maintaining enterprise grade backup systems and troubleshooting backup storage problems Functional knowledge with Microsoft 365 products, Active Directory, Teams, Group Policies, and MS SQL Server Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking knowledge, including DNS, DHCP, WINS, FTP Intermediate knowledge and experience managing and maintaining virtualization technologies such as VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Cloud based Infrastructure. Experience with VBScript, PowerShell, and batch file scripting Must demonstrate advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Essential Tasks and Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures. Create and update user guides and knowledge base articles. Coordinates appropriate internal and external resources to deliver high quality technical service delivery, minimizing risks to technical infrastructure and patient care. Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to resolve technical issues and improve system performance. Ensure the availability and reliability of servers, networks, and associated systems. Basic knowledge of Active Directory (Cloud and On Prem) support and troubleshooting including management of group policies. Assists with the maintenance Cloud, Virtualization, and Storage Area Networks. Perform routine system administration tasks, including system monitoring, patching, and updates. Basic to Intermediate knowledge of at least one scripting language such as PowerShell. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and systems issues in a timely manner. Escalate complex issues to higher-level team members when necessary. Support and Maintenance of Cloud Environments such as AWS, Azure, M365. Conduct regular system backups and implement disaster recovery procedures.
