Schedule: 40 Hours, Days, 8am-5pm, Full Time, Benefit Eligible, Non-Union
Position Summary:
- Ensures the training, orientation, and competency of all pharmacy technicians and senior pharmacy technicians.
- Assists the Director with quality reporting of automated dispensing machines.
- Assists the Director in interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising pharmacy technicians and senior pharmacy technicians.
- Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist, prepares all medications, all I.V. additives, sterile irrigations, and other products, following established procedures
- Assists in the maintenance of Pyxis machines.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Pharmacy Technician experience of 5 years in a hospital; automated dispensing machine experience
- Ability to supervise and manage pharmacy technicians and senior pharmacy technicians. Ability to train others.
- Certification/Licensure: Current PTCB certification
- Software/Hardware: Pyxis, Meditech
