What are the responsibilities and job description for the Molding Summer Help position at 2024?
Job Summary: The Molding Summer Help will assist with day to day operations in the Molding department to gain hands-on experience with injection molding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment. They will also be assigned specific process improvement projects that directly support the 2025 corporate strategy.
Scope of Projects:
- PFAS free material options – coordinate sampling and evaluate viability.
- Once familiar with the mold changeover processes, lead a SMED event to identify and eliminate waste.
Experience and General Skills Required:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer skills
- Previous injection molding experience a plus
- Automation/Robot programming experience a plus
Education Requirements:
- The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Plastics Engineering
- Candidates should have completed their introductory level classes
