JOB SUMMARY: A non-profit agency seeks a Finance Director with a minimum of 3-5 years of broad finance experience with extensive oversight in planning, budgeting and supervision in building and leading a finance department. The Finance Director assumes responsibility for all agency financial matters; monitoring the agency’s budget within the State of NJ guidelines and performs all necessary accounting duties. The Director of Finance reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with Board Treasurer.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage all financial and business activities including cash management, general ledger, development and management of agency budget and financial policies and procedures.
- Maintain accounting records of the organization in accordance with general accepted accounting principles. Collectively, these functions are designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the agency’s reported financial results.
- Oversee functions of finance department to include payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, Medicaid billing, grant tracking and internal controls.
- Direct management of all finance department staff.
- Experience working with Information Technology to implement and manage financial systems.
- Direct management of Agency Annual Audit
- Oversee preparation and submission of all filings and reports including 1099’s, 990 and 5500.
- Ability to present financial reports effectively to Executive Director, Finance Committee and Agency Board.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills, multi-tasking and ability to prioritize and ability to meet deadlines with minimal oversight.

- REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting Related Field
- Must be proficient in MS Office, including Excel spreadsheets. Proficiency in Peachtree software and ADP payroll system is also required.
- Non-profit finance experience
- Deep knowledge and understanding of OMB Circular A-133 Audit and experience with State Contract Funding and Medicaid Funding.
- Must be currently working in the capacity of a Finance Director or Controller position in order to be considered for the position.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of broad finance experience with extensive oversight in planning, budgeting and supervision in building and leading the Finance department
- Valid NJ State Driver's License
