POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY##### The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant is a qualified professional who, under the general supervision from the Home Health Registered Occupational Therapist, provides direct patient care as prescribed by the referring physician.# Administers care plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.# Observes response to treatment, documents and adjusts treatment for the quality provisions of care. Suggests areas of departmental and personal improvements related to therapy area. Attains required and procedural competencies. # EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: # Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant required. State of Indiana Occupational Therapy Assistant License required or eligible for state licensure within 180 days. Valid driver#s license and proof of auto insurance is required. Meets hiring criteria as defined in agency#s minimum standards. Must accept responsibility for maintaining clinical practice skills, learning and adhering to agency#s policies and procedures on an on-going basis. #
