Position:# Patient Service Representative Location:# Munster,#IN # Position Summary: Under the general supervision of the Patient Services Supervisor, interacts daily with patients, insurance carriers, and staff members; provides information in response to inquiries; assists in resolving problems regarding services, insurance claims, and billing questions.# # Education/Experience Requirements: High School graduate (or GED equivalent) 1 year prior medical office registration or billing experience required; physician practice setting preferred Possess general understanding of medical terminology and CPT/ICD-10#coding Comprehend government and third part billing regulations Display proficient use of Microsoft office applications, able perform internet navigation and use a variety of information systems to conduct tasks Able to operate general office equipment, including but not limited to: adding, facsimile, photocopy, printing, and scanning devices Demonstrate empathetic and effective communication and problem solving skills Able to handle complaints and unpleasant conversations with a calm demeanor

Education/Experience Requirements

  • High School graduate (or GED equivalent)
