Concrete Plant and Aggregate Yard Loader Operator

Job Description

• Load trucks and concrete plant with aggregates using a front end loader
• Interface in a professional manner with aggregate customers
• Support the concrete plant operations during times of mechanical issues
• Assist with concrete plant and facility housekeeping including but not limited to shoveling, washing and repairs
• Set up concrete block forms. Strip and stockpile blocks in a neat, orderly, and safe manner
• Load concrete block on customers trailers or trucks
• Support aggregate processing plant during slow times
• Keep all yard and plant areas neat, organized, and as safe as possible at all times
• Snow plowing, snow removal, and sanding of areas
• Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of washout area for mixer trucks
• Perform routine maintenance on loader such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning
• Perform and document required daily inspections (tires, oil level, water system, hydraulic system, windows, lights, brakes, oil, etc.) to ensure that equipment is in safe working conditions

What we are looking for

• Front end loader operating experience – Hoisting license required
• Equipment maintenance skills
• Bonus skills: welding, electrical
• Must be willing to labor in areas of need
• Must be dependable, a team player and be safety conscious
• Must be able to work flexible hours as necessary
• Perform multiple tasks under stressful situations over long periods of time while maintaining proper composure

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift/carry at least 50 pounds unaccompanied
• Working outdoors with exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold and other outdoor environmental conditions,
• Climbing and working from heights
• Job requires the following motions: climbing, stretching, driving/steering, sitting, twisting, vibration, riding on rough terrain

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 46 per week
