Job Summary: Responsible for the accounting operations of the company including oversight of accounting personnel, preparation of monthly financial statements, supporting reconciliations, prospective reporting, budgeting, compliance, and internal controls.
Reports To:
· Chief Financial Officer
Supervises:
· Accounting Manager and Director of Inventory Control
Essential Functions:
· Drive the month-end closing process including monthly corporate balance sheet reconciliation responsibilities. Performs the company’s monthly and yearly closing that produces the financial statements.
· Verify, allocate and post details of business transactions to accounts and sub-accounts. Including oversight and approval of G/L account reconciliations and analysis.
· Ensures proper reconciliation and balancing of accounts. Research and correct errors.
· Manage and oversee the annual financial audit and periodic bank audits.
· Prepare reports and information for external auditors and senior management as requested.
· Analyzing and reporting sales, commissions, slotting, advertising, rebates, cash flow, inventory, and other information for business decision making and business strategy.
· Protects organization by implementing and enforcing internal controls to ensure that company objectives are met.
· Responsible for the overall integrity of company financial records.
· Manage data accuracy and integrity. Initiate or approve daily banking transactions.
· Develop proper operational, data documentation and troubleshooting procedures.
· Review and explain significant variances and reporting of margins.
· Preparation and oversite of accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, weekly metrics, internal and external monthly financial statements, and annual audits and annual budgets.

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
· Thorough knowledge of GAAP
· 5 years or more of related experience required.
· Manufacturing background preferred.
