Position Summary
21st Century Property Management is seeking a part-time Property Administrator to support operations from our Hemet/Murrieta and Oceanside, CA offices. The candidate will primarily work from the Hemet/Murrieta office two days per week and from the Oceanside office one day per week. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. This role involves assisting with a portfolio of single-family homes and small multifamily buildings. Strong communication skills and a passion for property management are essential, along with the desire to take ownership of this role within a growing division of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster strong relationships with residents through timely, professional communication.
- Prepare and submit required reports as directed by your manager
- Assist with Accounts Receivable: ensure rents and applicable fees are billed and collected using Buildium property management software; issue collection and demand notices as needed, following local laws.
- Assist in the management of maintenance requests, coordinate with contractors, and ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Conduct property inspections as assigned to assess cleanliness, curb appeal, and identify potential hazards.
- Perform property showings as needed. Assist with self-guided and remote tours and assist applicants with the leasing process.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma required; additional education or certifications in property management are a plus.
- Entry-level position; prior property management experience is not required.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with property management software is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Salesmanship skills are an advantage.
- Tech-savvy with a willingness to learn new tools and systems.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
Compensation & Work Schedule:
- 24 fixed hours per week, with overtime available as needed.
- Schedule: Fixed hours with two days per week in Hemet/Murrieta and one day per week in Oceanside.
- Mileage reimbursement provided.
- $20.00/hour, plus a 10% annual discretionary performance bonus.
