Job Summary:
We are seeking an Ophthalmology Physician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting routine, periodic, and emergency examinations using specialized diagnostic equipment. They will also evaluate medical records to determine corrective optometric treatment and plan, schedule, and direct comprehensive eye screening programs.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts routine, periodic, and emergency examinations using specialized diagnostic equipment (e.g., refractometer, indirect and direct ophthalmoscope) to determine defects that can be corrected by prisms, lenses, or other optical accessories.
- Evaluates medical records to determine corrective optometric treatment and prescribes, fits, adjusts, and repairs glasses for patients.
- Acts as consultant to other professional and paraprofessional staff regarding forms of eye pathology.
- Plans, schedules, and directs comprehensive eye screening programs and instructs patients in proper eye care and care of eyeglasses.
- Writes medical and technical reports.
Requirements:
- Degree in Ophthalmology or related field.
- Experience in conducting eye examinations and evaluating medical records.
- Ability to work effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals.
