Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to assess and manage patients in critical situations, demonstrating expertise in emergency care protocols. Duties
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and assessments of patients presenting to the Emergency Room.
- Administer IV infusions and medications as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide care for patients with infectious diseases, utilizing appropriate infection control measures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Utilize Epic software for patient documentation and management of electronic health records.
- Conduct CT scans as needed, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnostic purposes.
- Manage long-term care needs for patients transitioning from acute care settings.
- Stay informed about workers' compensation law to assist patients with related inquiries.
- Maintain knowledge of anatomy to effectively assess and treat various medical conditions.
- Provide critical care support during emergencies, including stabilization of patients in life-threatening situations.
Experience
Candidates should have a valid Registered Nurse license with experience in emergency room settings preferred. Familiarity with critical care practices, IV infusion techniques, and infectious disease management is essential. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly Epic, will be an advantage. A strong understanding of anatomy and workers' compensation law is also beneficial.
