One of our small agency clients is looking for a Creative Director with hands-on digital / web design skills to join their team for an exciting all-new position.

This Creative Director will be responsible for managing a small team of 5 (designers, copywriter, video editors) and drive the vision and execution of innovative, impactful creative solutions across print, digital, and mixed-media platforms.

The Creative Director must be able to lead and inspire a team of talented creatives, ensuring exceptional quality and strategic alignment with client goals while fostering collaboration and innovation; must have a passion for creative excellence and a client-focused approach and will play a key role in shaping both agency success and client satisfaction.

Ideal Creative Director candidates will have :

5-10 years in a hands-on creative / design position with a proven ability to lead teams, present ideas, and articulate a compelling vision.
Strong understanding of the creative process, with strong skills in copywriting, design, and brand strategy.
Excels at building and maintaining client relationships, effectively communicating creative strategies and solutions.
Combines creative expertise with strategic planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Manages departmental budgets, tracks profitability, and sets measurable goals for growth and success.

Job Responsibilities :

Set the strategic and creative direction for brands, campaigns, and marketing messages across print, digital, and mixed-media projects.

Maintain a seamless look and feel across all touchpoints, aligning client assets / campaigns with brand standards while adapting messaging for diverse platforms and audiences.

Collaborate with the Project Management team to set realistic budgets and schedules, ensuring goals are met within scope.

Inspire and guide a creative team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Build and manage a team of full-time and freelance Copywriters, Designers, Videographers, etc.

Lead client-facing discussions on creative strategies and deliverables, advocating for concepts and ensuring alignment with client objectives.

Oversee cross-department standards for technical execution, environmental display, and platform-specific needs.

Explore new creative tools and techniques to enhance team capabilities and drive success.

Establish and monitor annual and quarterly departmental goals, tracking progress and performance.

Equip the team with tools, training, and guidance to excel in their roles, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.

Work with other department directors to ensure agency cohesion and alignment on strategies and objectives.

Onsite required – candidate must be local to Cheyenne, WY
