Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company’s health, safety, and environmental practices meet or exceed all applicable regulatory standards.
- Protocol Development: Develop and implement comprehensive safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure employee safety.
- Safety Promotion: Foster a culture of safety by promoting safe work practices and conducting regular training sessions.
- Incident Management: Investigate safety incidents thoroughly to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Safety Audits: Conduct random safety checks on job sites and provide detailed reports on findings, including recommendations for improvement.
- Training & Development: Lead safety training programs for employees to enhance awareness and compliance with safety standards.
- Field Oversight: Monitor ongoing operations to ensure tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
- Incident Response: Manage incidents as they occur, providing leadership and guidance to mitigate risks and address issues promptly.
- Client Collaboration: Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring the company meets their safety standards and expectations while maintaining open communication.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a safety role within the Oil and Gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Excellent skills in incident investigation and reporting.
- Ability to develop and implement safety protocols effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and relationships with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in conducting safety audits and preparing detailed reports.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to promote a culture of safety across all levels of the organization.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., OSHA, CSP, or similar) is preferred.
