We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fiber Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of fiber optic systems. The Fiber Technician will work in various environments, ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain fiber optic cables and associated equipment.
- Perform fiber splicing and termination tasks with precision.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to complete installations.
- Conduct testing using voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot issues related to computer networking and telecommunications systems.
- Collaborate with field service teams to address customer needs effectively.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards while working in the field.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician in the telecommunications industry is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with cabling techniques and fiber optic installations is essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in various environments.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
