Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Surveying Technician to join our team. This position involves utilizing various technologies to support land development and civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have experience land survey industry experience, be detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively to provide accurate and timely results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft survey-related drawings as needed, using Civil3D
- Assist in performing boundary, topographic, construction, and as-built surveys for land development and civil engineering projects.
- Collect, process, and analyze field data to produce accurate and detailed survey information.
- Work closely with surveyors, project managers, and engineers to support project needs and ensure data accuracy.
- Transfer collected data from field equipment to office software for processing and mapping.
- Adhere to company safety protocols and industry standards during fieldwork.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s degree or technical certification in surveying, geomatics, or a related field preferred.
- 1 years of experience in land surveying
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar drafting software is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work occasionally outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to Oregon sites as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with land survey projects, including boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys.
- Knowledge of applicable state and local surveying regulations and standards.
- Strong math and analytical skills, particularly in trigonometry and geometry.
