As a Floater, your role will be to provide coverage as needed. Being able to adapt to different settings and travel. Travel reimbursement available.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily living activities and ensuring their safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in home care and a genuine desire to help others.
Duties
As an In Home Caregiver, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitoring patient health by checking vital signs and reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Preparing nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Providing memory care support for clients with cognitive impairments, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Administering medications as prescribed and ensuring adherence to medication schedules.
- Offering companionship and emotional support to enhance the client’s overall well-being.
- Assisting with mobility and transportation needs, including accompanying clients to appointments or social activities.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment within the home.
- Some Clerical duties assigned when needed in office.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- Proven experience in home care or caregiving roles.
- Knowledge of ADLs and patient monitoring techniques.
- Familiarity with meal preparation tailored to client needs.
- Understanding of memory care practices for individuals with cognitive challenges.
- Ability to check vital signs accurately and report findings effectively.
- Certification in CPR is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with medication administration is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy towards clients' needs.
- A valid driver’s license may be required depending on client transportation needs.
