Position Title : Treasury Coordinator
Department : Accounting & Finance
Location : Santa Monica store / office
Reports to : Accounting Manager / Treasury Manager
FLSA Status : Non-Exempt
General Position Summary
This position is responsible for providing various treasury and accounting duties in order to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate finance and some administrative tasks around our retail operations.
This position works with Accounting & Finance team in Japan as well as Store Operations team in the US, facilitates transactional treasury operations, assists cash management, supports treasury / accounting tasks relative to new store openings and existing stores, maintains records according to generally accepted accounting principles including journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation of bank statements while
ensuring legal requirements compliance.
Essential Job Functions
1. Cash Management
Banking Administration
- Acts as a treasury liaison with company’s business units in setting up new banking accounts, services, administrative tasks, handling bank inquiries and issues, and related matters.
- Helps prepare banking related documents, obtain signatures, ensure proper documentations are in place.
- Maintains positive banking relationships with depository banks and supports Treasury Manager located in Japan.
- Regularly reviews and analyses daily cash balances across bank accounts to maintain sufficient liquidity for the operations.
- Responsible for loading and reconciling bank statements to ensure accuracy of transactions and identify discrepancies.
- Supports banking system controls updates, updates bank account signers, enters wires in the banking system.
- Analyses bank fees and record keeping.
- Supports corporate accounting, corporate tax, financial planning, internal audit and other functions as they relate to Treasury transactions and entity structures.
- Supports tasks around new store openings, cash vault setups, arranges cash deliveries.
