What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog handler position at 3 Dogs Boarding and Daycare/Stay Pet Hotel?
Busy NE Portland Dog Daycare/Hotel has an opening for FT and PT dog handlers - Experience preferred but not required.
We are a fast paced doggy daycare and boarding facility, staffed 24/7, 365 days a year. Looking to hire a hard working individual to add to our team. Our ideal candidate is a self starter, passionate about providing five star service to our canine and human guests. You must be capable of accomplishing tasks independently, while also working as a part of a team. Good communication skills are a must in both written and verbal form.
Primary responsibilities for this position are: Supervising groups of up to 50 dogs, feeding and medication, baths and one-on-one interaction with dogs, dishes, laundry, cleaning play areas and other cleaning tasks as needed.
Morning shifts start as early as 6am and evening shifts can run as late as 10pm. Must be available to work holidays (shifts may vary). During training your schedule will change, as we will be cross training you on multiple shifts and duties. After training your schedule will become consistent.
Full time: and 2p-10p Friday through Tuesday
FT/PT: 9a-5:30p, 11a-7:30pm weekends/weekday
Starting salary ~ $16.25 to $16.50 an hour to start depending on experience. Increase after 90 day probationary period. Raise eligibility is based on employee performance. We do believe in keeping strong employees happy and fairly compensated. Paid time off is included, as well as the ability to bring a personal dog to work with you, if they meet the same requirements and pass the same screening as our guest dogs. We also have the Oregon Saves retirement plan available.
