Dog Handler

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and hard-working Dog Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for working with dogs and a commitment to their well-being and development. This role involves working closely with various breeds of dogs, providing care, and continued cleaning of the pet care facility and environment.

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Duties

• Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding and exercising.
• Monitor the health and behavior of the animals, reporting any concerns to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pet care facility.
• Engage with dogs during playtime and socialization activities to promote healthy interactions.
• Perform heavy lifting as needed for moving supplies or equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols while handling animals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to handle dogs of various sizes and energy levels
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed

Experience
Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Veterinary assistance or knowledge of veterinary practices.
• Experience in animal handling, particularly with dogs of various breeds.
• Background in dog training or behavior modification techniques.
• Familiarity with pet care practices including feeding, exercise, and general well-being.
• Prior experience working with dogs in a professional setting is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
