Shift Hours: Thursday-Sunday 2:00pm-12:00am (Four 10 hour shifts) Position Responsibilities: Must be able to perform general cleaning duties, such as vacuum, sweep and mop floor, empty trash, dust displays and office furniture, etc. in a self-directed manner. Must maintain sanitary conditions of bathrooms and kitchens as specified by Distillery sanitation policies. Locations include: Interior of Visitor Center (i.e. displays, restrooms, and meeting/event spaces), Visitor Center porches and patios, tour path displays such as Single Barrel Society Hallway, Cooperage Display, Single Barrel Bottling tour path, Jack’s Old Office, Barrel House 114 and other marketing venues including Bethel House, Revenuer’s Office, Motlow House, Lynchburg Welcome Center, and BBQ Pavilion. Maintain inventory of cleaning materials, bathroom supplies and other operational supplies. Assist Operations Manager of VC with ordering of cleaning supplies on a routine basis. Some other duties as assigned such as assisting with setting up and cleaning special displays or needs related to events, samplings or tastings. Minimum Requirements: High school education or the equivalent. Must possess a valid state driver’s license and be able to operate a pickup truck. Must be able to operate light equipment such as vacuum cleaner, wet/dry vacuum, lawn mower, blower, etc. as needed for housekeeping and small, routine lawn maintenance. Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs. Must be physically able to perform all tasks: lifting, climbing step ladder, and assisting with table/chair set up for events. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, capable of greeting visitors or answering questions. Proven ability to be flexible and adaptable to quickly changing needs of business. Must be willing to work a set weekend schedule, primarily at night, in order to meet the needs of a 7-day/week Visitor Center operation. This includes potential holiday coverage and overtime as needed.
