Position Description: This position is responsible for providing oversight of the day-to-day operations of 315 Logistics, an Amazon Delivery Service Partner. Better known as an on-site Supervisor acting in a dispatcher capacity, this position plays a key role acting as the liaison between the company, Amazon, and its customers. Successful Operations Supervisors will possess the following qualities: responsible, personable, highly dependable, organized, able to multitask, support multiple delivery associates (DAs) in a fast-paced environment, quickly solve and report problems to leadership, and make sound decisions. Specific job functions include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling Delivery Associates (DAs) weekly to ensure the Company meets Amazon route commitments. The approved schedule shall be disseminated to DAs and entered into Amazon’s scheduling App, Cortex.
- Acting as a Company Liaison between the Amazon Delivery Station Management and the Company.
- Editing daily route and van assignments.
- Leading the daily “load-out” process to ensure all DAs successfully receive, scan, and load all assigned packages in accordance with Amazon’s metrics for scan to verify and on-time departures.
- Supervise and support DAs to ensure daily delivery success behaviors by monitoring delivery progress, providing required support for problem deliveries and/or on road challenges such as flat tires, dead batteries, etc.
- Prioritizing and coordinating “rescues” as needed to ensure all packages are successfully delivered.
- Performing end-of-day duties by supporting drivers during Return to Station (RTS) process.
- Ensuring DAs complete end of shift tasks (return “pouches” consisting of phones, keys, charger, gas card, and USB cable and conduct post-trip DVIC inspection)
- Recording of incidents/accidents and reporting all incidents to HR and on duty Operations Manager immediately.
- Ensuring compliance in accordance with Amazon Operations, to include eMentor, Amazon Flex, ADP, and any other programs as assigned.
- Tracking attendance daily and reporting daily as part of the Ops Report.
- Tracking fleet vehicle matters reported by DAs as part of the Ops Report.
- Coaching DAs on delivery metrics, FICO scores, safety procedures, attendance, and overall performance.
- Assisting Company Management with the implementation of policies and processes to meet Amazon Program objectives.
- Other duties as assigned as delivering packages, performing rescues, gathering data for management reports, etc.
- Conduct morning Stand-up Meetings (SUMs) with DAs to provide guidance on safety, local events impacting delivery, answer DA questions, and address uniform compliance issues.
- Support and provide ongoing performance feedback to DAs
- Maintain a minimum 800 FICO score, overall “Fantastic” rating with no tier infractions/defects.
- Help recruit, hire, and retain team members and contribute to the overall success of the team and company.
- Inform operations managers of any new or necessary changes in safety or operational procedures for implementation or approval.
- Lead by example in all aspects of communication, performance, and personal interaction both on and off-duty.
Schedule/Working Hours
On occasion this position is expected to be available and accessible during events such as Prime Week, Peak Season, Vacation Coverage, etc, with open availability, to meet company needs.
Qualifications:
Must have a tenure of a minimum of 6 months with the company
Must be able to work full-time hours
Must have high performance metrics with little to zero infractions and/or incidents
Must maintain a minimum of 800 FICO over a 6 week trailing period
Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency using Microsoft suite, Amazon cortex, Amazon flex and other technology utilized by the company
