Handyman

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks across residential and commercial properties. This role requires a broad set of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot various mechanical, electrical, and structural issues.
• Complete both routine maintenance and emergency repair tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Install and repair fixtures, appliances, and equipment as needed.
• Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address potential maintenance issues.
• Manage and prioritize multiple work orders and projects simultaneously.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, time spent, and materials used.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, safety standards, and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with property managers, tenants, and other stakeholders about maintenance needs and progress.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, and properly care for tools and equipment.
• Assist in the development of maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance programs.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role.
• Broad knowledge of various trade skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.
• Familiarity with power tools and hand tools.
• Basic computer skills for managing work orders and communication.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical condition and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver's license.

Handyman must be available for on-call duties and emergency repairs outside of regular business hours. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour

• Monday to Friday
