JOB SUMMARY
Connect people and communities by offering telecommunication services through door-to-door solicitation of new prospective customers.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consistently achieve and exceed monthly sales quota.
· Prospect, qualify, and close new residential opportunities in your assigned territory through phone calls, door-to-door visits, and other lead generation methods.
- Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance customer experience through experience-based sales.
- Self-motivated in environments where your reward is based on your effort - uncapped potential.
- Supports team and team goals by actively participating in all outside sales meetings and training programs as assigned.
- Completes all administrative tasks related to products sold in accordance with department practice, policies, and procedures.
- Log and maintain detailed records of sales activities, community engagement efforts, and customer interactions in our CRM systems to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
- Well-informed about our competitors' activities in assigned territory; informs manager of any changing competitive pricing programs, marketing directives, or door-to-door sales tactics.
- Performs other duties as requested.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language. Bilingual Applicants receive special consideration.
- Ability to listen, formulate needs-based sales strategies, and articulate pitches to sell products and services based on the customer’s experience/needs.
- A passion to succeed and a strong personal drive to sell to prospective customers.
- Ability to travel (including during inclement weather) to and from assigned territories and company facilities using a reliable personal vehicle.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as business needs dictate to maximize prospective customer contact.
- Ability to work independently
Required Education
· High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- At least one year of sales experience would set you up for success in this opportunity.
- A good general understanding of the telecommunications industry and strong community involvement is a plus.
- Well organized, self-motivated, professional appearance, goal-oriented with a positive attitude.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Requires a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and a good driving record.
Preferred Related Work Experience and Number of Years
2 years sales or relevant work experience
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Spends approximately 90% of the time in an outside environment for extended periods in any season, with potential exposure to inclement weather.
- Frequent travel required, potential overnight travel will be required.
- Minimal time in an office environment.
- Must be able to set up booths at community events.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
