About the role

360 Fire & Flood is looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in HR and a strong understanding of recruitment, employee relations, and organizational development. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures, and programs that support the company's mission and objectives. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a dedication to providing excellent customer service.

What you'll do

• Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; talent acquisition; performance management; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
• Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
• Oversee the end-to-end onboarding and offboarding process for new hires, ensuring all paperwork is completed, and employees are integrated smoothly into the company.
• Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
• Leads in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Conduct exit interviews and process termination paperwork.
• Maintain employee records and personnel files.
• Identify and analyze trends and providing suggestions on ways to improve, not only our reporting but on trends that occur throughout the company
• Maintain human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
• Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and celebrations.
• Handling other ad-hoc HR duties as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 2 years of human resource management experience preferred.
• SHRM-CP a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

Schedule

• Core hours are 8:00am-4:30pm Monday to Friday
• 4 days/week in-person in our Southfield MI office & 1 day/week work from home
