About the role
The Lead Water Mitigation Technician is a key role within our organization, responsible for overseeing all aspects of water damage restoration projects. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. The Lead Water Mitigation Technician will lead a team of technicians, ensuring efficient project execution, adherence to safety protocols, and exceptional customer service.
What you'll do
- Lead a team of water mitigation technicians in executing water damage restoration projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct thorough assessments of water damage situations, identifying the source of water intrusion and extent of damage.
- Develop and implement effective mitigation plans to minimize further damage and restore affected properties to pre-loss condition.
- Coordinate with the mitigation manager, project managers, and clients to ensure clear communication and alignment of expectations throughout the restoration process.
- Supervise and participate in the extraction of water, drying of affected areas, and removal of damaged materials.
- Oversee the setup and monitoring of drying equipment, including dehumidifiers and air movers, to expedite the drying process.
- Conduct quality inspections to verify that restoration work meets industry standards and client satisfaction.
- Train and mentor junior technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge in water damage restoration techniques and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety guidelines, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, including work performed, materials used, photo documentation, and equipment readings.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in water damage restoration is preferred.
- Minimum of [3] years of experience in water damage restoration, with demonstrated expertise in mitigation techniques and equipment.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in supervising and motivating teams.
- Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with industry-standard tools and equipment used in water mitigation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members and other stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
