Overview
This role will focus on coordinating environmental compliance during the construction of utility-scale solar and Operating facilities primarily located in southern California.
Duties
- Ensure compliance with all biological permits and regulatory requirements.
- Optimize the use of company resources in a cost-effective manner.
- Coordinate or perform site inspections as mandated by facility permits and procedures.
- Manage and oversee biological consultants as needed.
- Promote safety and environmental programs, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Prepare, review, and submit environmental regulatory reports to local, state, and federal agencies.
- Engage in continuous improvement planning and implementation within your area of responsibility.
- Identify and proactively resolve potential issues.
- Create various documents, including reports, memos, graphs, charts, and tables.
- Develop and implement company-specific programs and procedures.
- Provide site-specific training and support related to biological compliance.
- Build and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies
Requirements:
- Experience in environmental compliance or related fields.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong user of analytical and reporting tools.
- Intellectual curiosity and a passion for renewable energy and environmental protection.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable; eager to take initiative and contribute.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and take ownership of projects and assignments.
- Youre comfortable taking initiative, asking questions, and speaking up.
- Familiarity with Federal and State environmental regulations, such as the Endangered Species Act, Migratory Bird Treaty Act, Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act, NEPA, CEQA, Bird and Bat Conservation Strategies
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
