Our client is a privately held, growth-oriented aerospace and defense component manufacturing company. The Sales Development Manager will manage a small team focused on growing existing and new business for the company. This Manager and their team are responsible for generating leads and building sales pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the company's business development strategy in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Identify and establish relationships with key decision-makers within the aerospace industry.
- Negotiate and secure strategic partnerships with top-tier customers.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities within the aerospace landscape.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and partners through effective communication and relationship-building skills.
- Work closely with the sales team to set and exceed sales targets and quotas.
- Collaborate with marketing, accounting, and finance teams to ensure alignment and success of sales strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in inside sales, sales, or business development, preferably in the aerospace and defense industry.
- A proven track record of exceeding sales targets, KPIs, and establishing successful customer relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team, motivate others, and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Willingness to work on-site 4 days per week and contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
