Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures in the catheterization lab. This position requires a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology, as well as proficiency in various imaging techniques. The Cath Lab Technologist will work closely with physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care and safety during procedures.
Duties
- Assist in performing cardiac catheterizations and other interventional procedures.
- Operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and telemetry during procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to evaluate patient conditions and prepare for diagnostic evaluations.
- Ensure proper functioning of equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Document procedures accurately in patient records.
- Provide support in a Level II Trauma Center, ensuring readiness for emergency situations.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, particularly related to cardiology.
- Proficiency in radiology techniques and sonography.
- Experience with cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring systems.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with medical staff and patients.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
