Seeking an experienced Project Cost Accountant for a direct hire role with a well-established construction company in Houston. This position requires onsite presence five days per week.
Project Cost Accountant is responsible for day-to-day operations on all accounting activities related to construction projects. This position requires a strong individual who can prioritize, plan, and communicate well with all positions on the Operations Team, external vendors, and clients on all project related matters. This is not a supervisory position.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited university required.
- A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience required; cost accounting experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of or experience within the construction industry a plus.
- Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Acumatica or other construction ERP software applications preferred.
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
