JOB SUMMARY
The Accounts Payable Analyst will be responsible for working with Procurement and third party vendors, processing payments and accurately recording activity in the financial system.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Coordination with 374 Procurement department
- Facilitates payment to vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
- Ensure that payables are properly coded and recorded in the financial system.
- Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
- Calculates and reports sales tax based on paid invoices.
- Vendor reporting and other ad hoc reporting.
- Other related duties as assigned.
WHO YOU ARE
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree preferred.
- Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred.
- Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
- NetSuite experience preferred.
- Familiarity with JPMorgan payment platform or other banking interface.
- Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
- Ability to travel up to 10%
