Accounts Payable Analyst

Job Duties:

• Understand and process accounts payable
• Prepare payments by reconciling accounts, accruing expenses; and requesting disbursements
• Assist in analyzing options and information by verifying information and developing spreadsheet reports
• Assist in preparation and processing of participants’ wages, and volunteers’ stipends and mileage reimbursements
• Answer accounts payable and related accounting questions by researching into and assist in interpreting data
• Update job knowledge; maintain personal networks; read professional publications; and participate in educational trainings and conferences

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of college course work and experience in accounting or business administration
• Associate’s degree in accounting or business administration
• Working knowledge of Not-for-profit accounting strongly preferred · Experience working with any accounting software (knowledge of ABILA/ SAGE/ MIP accounting software strongly preferred)
• Proficiency in MS Office packages, including MS Word and Excel · Strong ability to communicate in writing and speaking, as well as good organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent ability to analyze data and circumstances
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines
• Good at working independently, thinking critically and proffering quality ideas to improving organization’s processes
• Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
