Needs Heavy CosmosDB, Canonical Model experience & Synapse ADF, ETL Databricks. Fabric would be a plus.
Overview: We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Senior Azure Data Engineer to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Databricks, and will bring a strong ability to work independently while building lasting relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines using Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Databricks.
- Optimize and manage ETL processes to ensure data flows efficiently across the platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and gather data requirements.
- Continuously improve data systems and architecture for enhanced performance and scalability.
- Foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and deliverables are met.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members and support in their career development.
- Proactively identify and address any potential issues or improvements within the data architecture.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF) and ETL processes.
- Proficiency with Databricks for data engineering and analysis.
- Experience with Azure Fabric is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong focus on proactive solutions.
- Strong communication skills, with a focus on building relationships across teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
