Position Overview: As a Part-Time 3D Printing Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our 3D printing operations, optimizing 3D printing material profiles, and enhancing our social media presence. This position requires technical expertise in 3D printing, creativity in identifying trending designs, and a knack for content creation to showcase our work.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify engaging 3D printable designs for use in social media posts and sellable products.
- Prepare 3D files for printing, including slicing, optimizing designs, and troubleshooting file issues.
- Operate and maintain 3D printers to ensure high-quality output and consistent performance.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on 3D printers as needed.
- Collaborate with the team to develop creative ideas for showcasing printed products on social media platforms.
- Create and post engaging content, such as photos, videos, and captions, featuring 3D-printed products.
- Assist in inventory management of printing materials and supplies.
Requirements
- Proven experience with 3D printing, including operating and maintaining various 3D printer models.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software and slicing programs (e.g., Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, OrcaSlicer).
- Strong understanding of materials used in 3D printing (e.g., PLA, PETG, ABS) and their applications.
- Experience in social media content creation, including photography and videography, is highly preferred.
- Creative mindset with the ability to identify and adapt to design trends.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a part-time schedule.
