Job/Position Summary
Semiconductor Technician (Levels 1 and 2) operate production and metrology equipment and provide technical support to engineers to ensure production goals of the organization are met and provides technical assistance related to the sustaining and review of existing processes and equipment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Completes procedures correctly to assure quality products.
- Follows standard operating procedures and protocols related to process flows, quality control and document control as required.
- Able to work under minimal supervision.
- Assist engineers as they create, modify, and test semiconductor products/processes and equipment.
- Assist in problem solving with engineering.
- Assist engineers in running experiments.
- Maintain processing, production, and inspection information/data and reports.
- Inspect materials, components, or products for surface defects and measure circuitry, using electronic test equipment, precision measuring instruments, microscope, and standard procedures.
- Inspect products and processes for defects and identify areas of improvement.
- Assist and support development and run production.
- Build, clean, setup, and maintain fixtures used by Production.
- Monitor operation and adjust controls of processing equipment to produce compositions with specific electronic properties
- Inspect and monitor equipment functionality and request repairs, as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Compliant with all safety and cleanroom protocols as it applies to area certifications.
- Complete work in a safe manner by following written procedures.
- Maintain product and Company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations as well as internal product quality requirements
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing tasks as needed.
- Perform additional functions and other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in manufacturing is desired, but not required.
- This position will require lawful access to ITAR/EAR controlled information and employees in these roles will need to meet those requirements. Requirements include US Citizenship, US Permanent Resident, or ability to meet contract-specific licensure requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in the English language.
Physical/Working Requirements
- Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day (where applicable)
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing
